Dr Philipp Bubenzer

Dr Philipp Bubenzer is a lecturer and senior research fellow at ETH Zurich, as well as Professor of Innovation Management at the School of Management Fribourg. His executive experience spans leadership roles in business development, strategy and finance at high-​tech ventures.

Philipp Bubenzer was part of the executive team which built a genomics biotech firm that was successfully sold and went public, and a patent data analytics company which was successfully bootstrapped and today serves leading blue chip technology companies.

In his research and consulting work, Philipp Bubenzer aims to develop pragmatic solutions to tough innovation challenges - many of which he became aware of as a practitioner. He particularly focuses on the intersection of innovation management and organizational psychology. Philipp Bubenzer holds a doctorate in business administration from the WHU – Beisheim School of Management and has been a visiting scholar at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
