MAS MTEC Buddies Programme

The Buddies Programme connects incoming with existing students, facilitationg peer-to-peer learning, orientation and inspiration.

At D-MTEC, we believe in the valuable role a strong community can play in helping you succeed in your studies. The Buddies Programme invites you to become part of the community and to find inspiration and motivation there. Your time at D-MTEC is about more than just your professional education; it also offers you the opportunity to further expand your network.

The Buddies Programme supports you in the onboarding process as you join the MAS MTEC programme. It has two aims:

  • Connect you with fellow students in your cohort and thus help build community
  • Connect you with third-semester students to help familiarise you with the programme and with life at ETH Zurich

We match buddies with one to five incoming MAS MTEC students. Informal meetings are held virtually or in person. The programme relies on the active participation of incoming and existing students. Participation is voluntary, but highly recommended.

The MAS MTEC Buddies Programme started as a pilot project in Autumn 2020 as a joint initiative between the MAS MTEC Board and the programme lead.
