Dr Esther Canónico Martin

Dr Esther Canónico is a senior lecturer and researcher at Imperial College Business School (London, UK), where she teaches organisational behaviour (OB) and leadership. She also teaches OB as a guest lecturer at ETH Zurich. She has teaching experience at undergraduate, graduate and executive levels. Before joining Imperial in 2021 she taught at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for a decade and guest-lectured at London Business School (LBS) and ESCP Business School. She holds a PhD in organisational behaviour from LSE, an MBA from LBS and a PGCert in higher education.

Her research specialises in the work-life interface, flexible working practices and workplace diversity & inclusion, focusing on gender and disability. Her research into teleworking has received attention in the UK media, having been featured in outlets such as the Financial Times, the Guardian and the BBC. She also has extensive management experience in the telecom and financial sectors, having worked at British Telecom and co-founded an internet start-up in retail financial services.
