Dr Benjamin Huber
Course: Climate Risk, Sustainable Business and Finance

Dr Benjamin Huber is a seasoned sustainability professional with over 15 years of experience across the private and public sectors, including significant roles in the banking and insurance industry.
He currently serves as head of environmental and health protection at Winterthur city council, where he leads three departments and spearheads the city’s environmental and climate action strategy. He was previously a member of the advisory board of the Swiss Climate Foundation and sat on the ETH Risk Centre Partnership Council.
Dr Huber is passionate about innovative approaches to mitigating climate risks in agriculture and enhancing the resilience of climate‑vulnerable communities. As a co‑founder of ClimateRE, a social enterprise, he actively advances these goals.
He holds both a degree in earth sciences and a doctorate in natural sciences from ETH Zurich.
