Professor Axel Kind
Course: Corporate Governance
Axel Kind is a distinguished professor of finance with a robust track record in teaching, research and academic leadership. His numerous collaborations with industry partners in the financial sector highlight his expertise in bridging the gap between academia and practice.
Professor Kind holds the Chair of Corporate Finance at the University of Konstanz and serves as an Adjunct Professor at ETH Zurich, the University of Basel and the University of St Gallen (HSG). Prior to assuming his current role as a Full Professor, he was an Assistant Professor and Head of the Corporate Finance Division at the University of Basel (2008 to 2013) and a full-time lecturer at the University of St Gallen (2004 to 2007).
He has held various teaching and research positions at prestigious international institutions including New York University Stern School of Business, Columbia University Graduate School of Business, Tor Vergata University of Rome, Kyiv National Economic University, University of Florence and University of Novosibirsk. His current research spans multiple areas within quantitative finance, corporate finance and corporate governance.
Professor Kind also serves as a member of the Board of Directors at the International Academy of Financial Consumers (IAFICO) and sits on the Advisory Board at finpact.
